I used to think men’s fashion was boring, ugly, and bland, but then I saw women wearing men’s fashion and swooned. So I realized I just found men to be boring, ugly, and bland.

I enjoy pretty women and pretty words. I like the way both taste on my tongue.

I think one of the worst things about being a girl who likes girls is that men always assume you share their male gaze. When I see a pretty girl I’m imagining what it’d be like to hold her hand and kiss her, not hoping a gust of wind blows her skirt up. I don’t plan my outings based on which place has the hottest girls. I don’t find it appropriate to make lewd comments about women. Just because I like girls doesn’t mean I like to disrespect them or prey on them the way you do.
I love women. I love spending time with women. I love flirting with women. I love dating women. I love kissing women. I love being touched by women. I love being with women. I am truly free around women. I love women.
Conservatives: I hate Muslim people. Look at what that Muslim person did at that Orlando LGBT bar.
LGBT people: So, does that mean you care about LGBT people?
Conservatives: No! Gay people are pedophiles, and transgender women are just men who want to invade women’s restrooms and harass women! WE NEED TO PROTECT WOMEN!
Women: So, does that mean you care about women?
Conservatives: Shut up, feminazi! Women in the United States are not oppressed! If you want to talk about women’s oppression, you should be focusing on how women in other countries are treated!
Refugees: So, does that mean you care about people from other countries?
Conservatives: Stay out of our country! Why should we care about refugees when we have people here who need help?
Homeless People: So, does that mean you care about people who need help?
Conservatives: No! Get a job, freeloader!
Shoutout to every woman who has ever seen a stranger crying and stopped to help her. To women who pretend they know someone at a bar to get her away from a creep. To women who stay with a stranger who is scared and too drunk in the bathroom. To women who have put their body between a girl and someone out to harm her. To women who get a friend home after she has been roofied. To women who have been in a fistfight when a man won’t keep his hands to himself. To women who are scared but send in their friend, the bartender, the bouncer. To the fact that each of those is a woman I know, most of them several women.
My friends and I saw a man chasing a woman and screaming at her. My friend who was driving pulled over hard and we threw open the door and said, “get in!” And she looked at a group of women and threw herself in, on our laps, crying and cold. We said we would take her home. She said he was telling her how he’d rape her since he bought her a drink at the bar.
If I hear one more time that getting free drinks is a privilege I will fucking scream.
there’s nothing wrong with drawing naked women but it’s a little odd that so many people and by people i mean men draw naked women and only naked women and spend years of their life experimenting with new art forms and finding thousands of new ways to create images of naked women
and by naked women i mean young, beautiful naked women. usually white, usually skinny.
like it’s cool that you spent years compiling this 3D crayon sculpture with only your feet but surely you could give her a dress or something. maybe you could have made an image of a man instead. or a child. or a nice tree.
man i want this to hit the tens of thousands so badly because it’s barely 1k and there’s already people missing the point and swearing at me in the notes imagine how much worse it’ll get it’ll be hilarious
Tangential but the men drawing naked women thing always reminds me of that John Berger quote, “You painted a naked woman because you enjoyed looking at her, put a mirror in her hand and you called the painting “Vanity,” thus morally condemning the woman whose nakedness you had depicted for you own pleasure.”
